សារមន្ទីរខេត្តកំពង់ធំត្រូវបានកសាងឡើងនៅក្នុងឆ្នាំ២០០៨ហើយសម្ពោធដាក់អោយដំណើរការនៅថ្ងៃតី១១ ខែមករា ឆ្នាំ២០១០ ។សារមន្ទីរកំពង់ធំស្ថិតនៅតាមបណ្តោយផ្លូវជាតិលេខ៦ក្នុងភូមិអាចារ្យលាក់ ក្រុងស្ទឹងសែនចម្ងាយ៣ គីឡូម៉ែត្រពីទីរួមខេត្ត ។សារមន្ទីរនេះមានបណ្ដោយប្រវែង២១ម៉ែត្រ និងទទឹង១១ម៉ែត្រ។សារមន្ទីរនេះធ្វើអោយលោកអ្នក ។បានស្វែងយល់អំពីចំណេះដឹងវប្បធម៍និងតម្លៃប្រវត្តិសាស្ត្រទៀតផង។សិល្ប:ខ្មែរត្រូវបានបង្ហាញឪ្យឃើញតាំងពីសម័យបុរាណ ដែលបានដាក់តាំងក្នុងសារមន្ទីរកំពង់ធំរួមមាន : រូបចម្លាក់ ផ្តែរ ហោងជាង ធ្នឹម លិង្គ យោនី កុលាលភាជន៍ និង សិលាចារិក ។
Kampong Thom Museum was built in 2008 and inaugurated on 11 January 2010. It is located along national road 6 in Acha Lak village, Sangkat Acha Lak, Steung Sen city, about 3 km far from the provincial town. This museum has 21 m in length and 11 m in width. This museum can enable you to be more aware of Khmer culture and historical values. Khmer art has been showing since ancient times and displayed in Kampong Thom Museum including sculpture statues, Pdae (the part of a Khmer house that joins the roof to the wall), fronton, lintel, linga, yoni, ceramics, and inscription, etc.
