King Suryavarman II constructed the Chao Say Tevta Temple in the late 11th and early 12th centuries to honor Brahmanism. The appearance of this temple and the Thommanon temple is comparable. With four gopuras, two libraries (hotroy), and one main tower, the temple is in a straight line. The old path led east to the Siem Reap River, therefore the temple faces east.
