At 7:00 pick up from your hotel in Siem Reap for the overland driver to Phnom Penh (314 km), on the way stop at Kampong Kdei Bridge, which was the Angkorian Bridge, along the ancient highway from Angkor to Phnom Chisor located in southeastern present Cambodia. The bridge was built in the 12th century during the reign of King Jayavarman VII. It is one of the few Khmer Empire-era bridges to have survived to the modern day. Continue to visit the world heritage site of Sambor Preikuk which was concluded by UNESCO in July 2017. The site was once an old capital named Isanapura and a religious center for the worship of Shiva Brahmanism. Many temples were built in Sambo Preikuk including Prasat Sambor, Prasat Yeaypean, and Prasat Tao (The Lions' Temple). Lunch break at a local restaurant, After lunch, continue to Skun village where the villagers from this area sell deep-fried tarantulas, scorpions, silkworms, water beetle, crickets, and many varieties of fruits. Have a bite of deep-fried tarantula. Arrive in Phnom Penh around 5 pm and transfer to your hotel for check-in.
