ខេត្តស្វាយរៀង ជាខេត្តមួយក្នុងចំណោមខេត្តទាំង ២៥ របស់ព្រះរាជាណាចក្រកម្ពុជា ស្ថិតនៅក្នុងភូមិភាគអាគ្នេយ៍របស់ប្រទេស។ វាមានព្រំប្រទល់ជានៅខាងជើង និងខាងលិចជាមួយខេត្តព្រៃវែង ហើយនៅខាងត្បូង និងខាងកើតជាប់ជាមួយវៀតណាម។ ខេត្តនេះគ្របដណ្តប់លើផ្ទៃដី ២៩៩៦ គីឡូម៉ែត្រការ៉េ។ ដែលមានចម្ងាយ១២២គ.មពីភ្នំពេញ។
Svay Rieng, one of the Kingdom of Cambodia's 25 provinces, is situated in the country's southeastern region. It shares boundaries with Prey Veng to the north and west, and Viet Nam to the south and east. The Province covers 2,966 square kilometers of land.
